Don’t Forget Your Furry Friend When Moving House!

Filed under: transportation — admin @ 12:33 am

PR Log (Press Release) – Mar 10, 2010 – Pets can easily get forgotten in the hassle of moving. Leading removal service Removal Group offer handy hints and tips on moving with pets.

The first and foremost thing to do is to keep pets away in a quiet place so they can’t escape when doors are being opened and closed. Also, buying a high-quality pet carrier will ensure your buddy has a comfortable journey. There is nothing worse than an uncomfortable pet growling or hissing for the whole journey! Make sure they are familiar with the cage; if it is a new carrier, encourage them to use it before you use it on moving day.

Animals, much like babies, recognise scents. If it is a new carrier, it is likely it does not smell familiar, and can cause your pet to become agitated inside it. Putting a piece of cloth in there with your scent on it will ensure this does not happen. Essentials such as food, water, a leash and newspapers to keep your car clean, are vital when moving home with pets. Giving your pet water at regular intervals will ensure they do not get dehydrated, which can happen very quickly in hot weather. Never leave pets in a vehicle in warm weather as this can injure or even kill them because of the rise in temperature.

The firm, which has had a wealth of positive removal group reviews, also recommends you cover the cages of birds and small pets such as hamsters and gerbils with a cloth to avoid them escaping. Birds can be extra sensitive to sudden temperatures so try and keep the temperature in your vehicle as constant as possible.

The removal group service advises you check with your local pet store when moving fish, as these can be particularly difficult, especially if they are tropical fish. Essentials to include in your pet travel kit, aside from food and drink, include dishes, a can opener, a scooper and plastic bag for those “accidents”,  a few treats, their favourite toys and some kind of bedding to ensure the comfort of your furry friend.

The Managing Director of Removal Group said: “We appreciate it can be difficult to move with pets and this is why we have this comprehensive list on our website. It is by no means exhaustive but it should get you started. Your removals co-ordinator will assist you through all these points, and more, when you move with us.

“When you find out your new address, the first thing you should do is get them a pet ID tag that includes your address and at least one phone number. It is also best to prepare your new home for your pet before you move in, if possible, to ensure maximum comfort for them and to make your move that much easier.”

No More Complaints With the Removal Group Customer Service Team

Filed under: transportation — admin @ 12:33 am

PR Log (Press Release) – Mar 10, 2010 – The Removal Group customer service team are there to ensure that all complaints are dealt with smoothly and efficiently. With only two members in the team, customers can rest assured that they will not feel lost in a large department with lots of different teams for different issues, like many other companies have.

Karen Moffat, the Customer Service Manager at Removal Group, said: “We hope our customers do not have a lot to complain about, and some of this is reflected in the positive removal group reviews on our site, but obviously things don’t always run smoothly. We at Removal Group understand that, so as well as the customer having their own dedicated removal co-ordinator, we have a customer service team to assist with any further problems or complaints.

“If the customer has a complaint to make, for example if their goods have been delayed or haven’t arrived, they would usually check with their co-ordinator first. If the co-ordinator cannot help, they email the customer a complaints procedure, allowing the customer to log a complaint officially in writing.

“On submission of a fully completed complaint form, a telephone call is made from our side to confirm receipt of their complaint, within three working days. We always endeavour to dispatch a full and fair response within 10-14 days in order to give ourselves enough time to gather all the relevant information from suppliers, sub contractors and anyone else involved with the move.

“I have been appointed by Removal Group to be as fair and unbiased as possible. This is to make sure that all customer complaints are looked at fairly, ensuring that all complaints are resolved to mutual benefit.”

Ms Moffat’s four year service to Removal Group and a further 20 year experience in customer service positions shows Removal Group’s commitment to their customers. They only hire the most experienced individuals for their Customer Service team to ensure that their customers get the best service possible.

The complaints procedure at Removal Group was implemented three-and-a-half years ago, with the service constantly being upgraded depending on customers’ needs. In addition to this, they also have a procedure to make claims for damaged goods through their Enhanced Liability Cover, which makes it easier for the customer and Removal Group to process the claim and send it through to their insurance company for full compensation where applicable.

The Removal Group Customer Service team’s opening hours are Monday to Friday between 9am and 3pm and they can be contacted by visiting their website at http://www.removalgroup.com.
